Welcome to Tales of Alba. By accessing this website and booking any of our tours or services in Scotland, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. We recommend that you read them carefully before making a booking.

Tales of Alba (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides guided tours, cultural experiences and tourism services across Scotland.
Our company is registered in the House of Companies of the United Kingdom with the number: SC853282.

1.2 Scope of Services

We offer walking tours, private tours, full‑day excursions, historical and cultural experiences, and related tourism activities.
Descriptions, itineraries, schedules and prices may change without prior notice due to weather, local regulations or operational needs.

3 Bookings

Bookings are confirmed once full payment or the required deposit is received.
Customers must provide accurate information.
We may refuse bookings for safety or operational reasons.

4 Prices and Payments

Prices are in GBP (£) and include applicable taxes.
Accepted payments: credit/debit card, bank transfer.
We are not responsible for bank fees or currency conversion charges.

1.5 Cancellations and Refunds

By the Customer

More than 1 day before the tour: 100% refund.
Less than 24 hours or if you arrive late: non‑refundable.
No‑shows: non‑refundable.

By Tales of Alba

We may cancel due to:

Severe weather
Road closures
Safety concerns
Operational issues
Force majeure

Customers may choose:

Full refund
Rescheduling
Equivalent alternative activity

1.6 Changes to Tours

We may adjust routes, timings or content due to weather or safety. Scottish weather can change rapidly; itineraries may be adapted accordingly.

1.7 Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

Arrive on time
Wear appropriate clothing for Scottish weather
Follow safety instructions
Inform us of medical conditions
Care for personal belongings

1.8 Liability

We are not liable for loss, injury, delays or expenses beyond our control.
Participation may involve uneven terrain, stairs, rural areas or adverse weather.
Nothing limits our liability for death or injury caused by negligence under Scottish and UK law.

1.9 Children

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Some tours may have age restrictions.

1.10 Intellectual Property

All website content belongs to Tales of Alba or its licensors.
Reproduction without permission is prohibited.

1.11 Photography and Video Recording

During our tours, Tales of Alba may take general photographs or video recordings of the group for operational purposes and to document the experience.
Images in which participants are clearly identifiable will not be used for promotional or marketing purposes without the participant’s explicit consent.
Customers who do not wish to appear in any photographs or recordings may inform the guide at any time during the tour.
Participants may request the deletion of any image in which they appear by contacting us at talesofalbatours@gmail.com.

1.12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
